| The Art o' the kilt: (or How to be a Highland Laddie!) |
- Put the kilt just above the waist with the pleats at the back. Put the single strap through the hole in the waist band and fasten onto the buckle at the left side.
- Pull the flat front of the kilt across and fasten it onto the buckles at the right. (Shoogle until you are comfortable!)
- The Sporran is fastened through the loops at the back of the kilt.
- Put the belt through the loops of the kilt.
- Push the Skean Dhu into your left sock with the handle showing. Leave it there all night!
- Put the flashes under the turnover of the socks with the tartan at the outside of the leg on each sock.
- Shoes. Pull the laces tight, tie close to the shoe then cross the lace round the ankle and leg two or three times and tie in a knot on the outside of your leg.
| Wheech Yir Kilt! Shake your hips as if you were doing the twist and let the pleats fly. Admire yourself in the mirror! |
